Automated Vision Control for Safer, Smarter Construction Sites

October 20, 2025

Construction sites are fast-moving, complex, and constantly changing. Workers, vehicles, and heavy machinery share the same space, and even minor lapses in safety or coordination can lead to major setbacks. Keeping visibility across multiple activities has traditionally meant relying on manual inspections or costly, always-on surveillance systems.

Tiliter’s Object Detector Agent changes that. Instead of running continuous video analytics that demand expensive hardware and high bandwidth, it works with snapshots captured by site cameras, drones, or even smartphones. Each image is analysed in the cloud to identify people, machinery, materials, and safety risks automatically.

This approach makes it possible to bring Vision AI to any construction site - without the need for dedicated servers, edge devices, or complex integrations. Snapshots can be taken at key moments such as shift starts, milestone completions, or inspection rounds, and the results are available within seconds.

A single image can reveal whether workers are wearing helmets and high-visibility vests, if scaffolding is clear, or if materials are blocking access paths. Repeated over time, these snapshots create a consistent visual record of site safety and progress. For many projects, that’s all that’s needed to maintain oversight without the burden of constant monitoring.

When more context is required, the Object Detector Agent can be combined with other Vision Agents to provide deeper insight. The Damage Detector Agent can analyse visible surfaces for cracks or wear, while other Valuator Agents like the Object Validator or Label Validator, can confirm whether what’s visible matches the expected outcome - for example, verifying that the correct components are installed, labelled, or positioned according to plan.

All processing happens in the cloud, making deployment simple and scalable. Insights are accessible through Tiliter’s dashboard or directly integrated into existing tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zapier. No additional hardware, no retraining, and no operational interruption.

Early deployments have shown meaningful improvements in on-site visibility and safety. Teams report faster detection of hazards, reduced time spent on inspections, and more consistent documentation across multiple contractors and locations.

By combining lightweight snapshot analysis with powerful, adaptable Vision AI, Tiliter’s Object Detector Agent brings automation, accuracy, and accountability to every construction site.
