What’s your role at Tiliter and what’s unique about your skillset or experience that you bring?
I'm the Sales Manager at Tiliter and I work closely with Operations and Marketing to ensure our customers are maximising the full scope of our AI technology for staff & shoppers alike.
I have been working in sales and data analytics within the FMCG industry for 10+ years. The supermarket ecosystem is ingrained in me to a point where a simple grocery shop gets drawn out as I analyse every aisle and gondola end looking for any changes to products and activations. This hands-on experience started at Colgate driving around the streets of Sydney forging partnerships with all types of supermarkets and then evolved to helping brands win in-store as Head of Business Development at Snooper.
Truly understanding the dynamics of the retailer, supplier and shopper is my biggest asset.
We love to know what motivates our team members to come to work. What gets you out of bed in the morning?
If my kid isn’t crying, it's a morning run & coffee. Besides that, helping retailers leverage AI technology to solve business problems while providing a seamless shopping experience is a very exciting objective. Sorry for the elevator pitch, I guess the power of AI does get me out of bed.
What keeps you busy out of work?
My 6-week-old son Kai is the boss. If all goes to plan, I am currently training for my first marathon. Any other free time is devoted to watching NBA & more recently playing basketball.
What’s next for Ari Segal?
I am looking forward to supporting our customers in an ever-changing retailer landscape. Brick-and-mortar retail is still the no 1 destination for grocery shoppers, with the big opportunity now to create a more seamless checkout experience for fresh produce. Having said that, the fresh produce category is just the beginning of what our solution can be adapted for. I am excited to be part of this journey.
