Tiliter scales up to bring computer vision to the world

It's been a whirlwind start to 2021 at Tiliter. We've started with an upgrade to our Sydney HQ, our retail division's launch with brand new websites to match, and rapidly increasing our team. We've seen our team expand into three continents and we're not planning on slowing down. We're expanding our business and operations to make sure we can continue to create the smartest computer vision products for our customers' identification needs.

It's been a whirlwind start to 2021 at Tiliter. We've started with an upgrade to our Sydney HQ, our retail division's launch with brand new websites to match, and rapidly increasing our team. We've seen our team expand into three continents and we're not planning on slowing down. We're expanding our business and operations to make sure we can continue to create the smartest computer vision products for our customers' identification needs.  

Adding to our team of technical experts

On the people side, we've welcomed new Tiliter team members across our business divisions, such as Marketing, Operations and Sales, as well as to our Engineering arm. Paulwyn Devasundaran (ex-Canva and ex-Atlassian) has joined us as our new Technology Product Manager, which brings the gender split to 50:50 in our leadership team, something we're very proud of.    

To support our rapidly growing customer and partnership base, it's been crucial for us to grow the team. According to the Australian Computer Society, the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to magnify Australia's technology skills shortage. Digital adoption has taken a leap at both organisational and industry levels, and this rapid shift has resulted in the need for more tech experts. Tiliter's tech team has grown by 63% in the past six months as we continue to attract highly-skilled employees, working hard to bring computer vision tech to the world.  

After working from home for a lot of 2020, it's been an exciting few weeks getting settled into our new office in Sydney. Focusing on what our team needs to be productive, happy and collaborative, our office is designed to align our people, tools and culture. We're fortunate to have a place that lets us think big, communicate and innovative. Our development room lets our engineers put our tech through its paces, and our auditorium gives us a place to present and share ideas and conduct training for the team.

Supporting the tech grad community

We celebrated our new office move by hosting the UNSW Founders Alumni Breakfast in the first week a March. Founders, investors and mentors gathered to talk innovation and tech and enjoy some excellent coffee made by our very own COO, Martin Karafilis. We're proud to be part of a supportive culture and community that welcomes tech innovators and graduates and fosters creativity and big thinking.
